Ethics & Responsible Use Policy
Effective: May 10, 2026. Leadity automates real conversations with real people. This policy sets out the standards we hold ourselves and our customers to so that automation stays honest, fair, and safe. It complements — and does not replace — our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Purpose and Commitment
Leadity ("Leadity", "we", "us") provides AI-powered DM sales infrastructure. We believe automation should make conversations faster and more useful without making them dishonest. Technology that talks to people on a business's behalf carries real responsibility, and we expect everyone who uses Leadity to treat the people on the other side of the conversation with the same respect a good human salesperson would.
2. Guiding Principles
The following principles govern how Leadity is built and how it should be used:
- Integrity — communicate truthfully and consistently; do not deceive the people you message.
- Excellence — configure and supervise your assistant carefully so the conversations it has reflect well on your brand.
- Service — keep people at the centre; use automation to help and solve, not to pressure or manipulate.
- Fairness — treat everyone you contact with impartiality, dignity, and respect.
- Stewardship — handle the personal data that flows through Leadity responsibly and only for the purpose it was shared.
- Purpose — use AI and automation to strengthen genuine business relationships, not to spam, exploit, or mislead.
3. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Leadity, its products, APIs, or integrations for purposes that conflict with the ethical, legal, or platform standards behind this policy. The following are expressly prohibited and may result in sanction:
- Promoting, advertising, or automating betting, "bet signals", casinos, or games of chance — even where legal — including in an educational, demonstrative, or recreational framing.
- Fraud, financial pyramids, Ponzi or "get-rich-quick" schemes, deceptive practices, information manipulation, or abusive marketing.
- Generating, hosting, or distributing pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise obscene content, or any content that sexualises or targets minors.
- Automations that drive discrimination, hate speech, defamation, or religious, racial, or political intolerance.
- Misusing personal data in breach of the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, or any other applicable data-protection law.
- Using the system to mislead people, exploit vulnerabilities, or act against good faith and honesty in human or commercial relationships — including deceiving a recipient about whether they are talking to automation when disclosure is legally required.
- Unsolicited bulk outreach (spam) or any messaging that violates anti-spam law or the rules of the connected platform.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. The hard contractual rules also live in the Acceptable Use section of our Terms of Service.
4. Platform and Meta Compliance
Leadity runs on top of third-party messaging platforms. When you connect a social account, you remain responsible for complying with that platform's own rules in addition to this policy.
By connecting a Meta-owned service to Leadity, you hereby additionally consent to, and agree to be bound by, Meta's Terms of Service and platform policies that govern the specific service you connect — for example, the Instagram Terms of Use and Community Guidelines when you connect an Instagram account, or the Messenger / Facebook Platform Terms when you connect a Messenger or Facebook account — as those terms apply to your use of that service through Leadity. You acknowledge that Meta may rate-limit, suspend, or revoke access to your accounts for reasons outside Leadity's control, and that using Leadity does not exempt you from any obligation you owe directly to Meta.
5. Operator Responsibility
Customers and Operators are fully responsible for the automations, communications, and content they produce, store, or distribute through Leadity. Each Operator must:
- Ensure their assistants comply with this policy and all applicable law;
- Maintain communication standards rooted in truthfulness and respect;
- Use the platform's features constructively and in a socially responsible way;
- Answer civilly, administratively, and morally for any violation arising from misuse.
Failure to follow this policy may result in a warning, suspension, or immediate termination of the account, at Leadity's sole discretion and without obligation to refund.
6. Enforcement and Monitoring
Leadity reserves the right to audit, review, and analyse how its tools are used in order to prevent, identify, and correct practices incompatible with this policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts whose use:
- Contradicts the ethical values or principles of this policy;
- Negatively affects the integrity or reputation of Leadity or a connected platform;
- Represents a moral, legal, or reputational risk to Leadity, even where the conduct is not formally illegal.
These measures are preventative and exist to protect the integrity of the platform's ecosystem and the people it reaches.
7. Ethics Channel
Questions, concerns, or reports about adherence to this policy can be sent to legal@leadity.io. Reports are reviewed confidentially, impartially, and respectfully. We commit to handling each case with care and discretion.
8. Revisions and Updates
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect technological advances, legal changes, or improvements in governance. The most recent version is always published here. Continued use of Leadity after an update constitutes acceptance of the version in force.
